Many thanks for Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}5/AH.15.2.38. and the copy of Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}4/AH. of the 15th.inst. to Mr Faulkner. We are quite clear on all the items mentioned and have no comments to make except on items 2. and 6. : (2) We agree with your remarks regarding louvres over the doors, if they are built in and flush they scarcely work; the old stuck on variety whilst looking unsightly, were very effective. (6) "Quicklift". We have been trying for some days to make an arrangement of the inside of the driver's door, using a "Quicklift" window. Unfortunately we cannot find a position for it where it will not quarrel with either the steering column, the gear lever, or the brake lever. The position it ought to be in is immediately above the hand brake lever, in which position it will interfere with the operation of the latter even if it does not collide with it. However, if Messrs.Park Ward can set out a full size layout of the inside of the driver's door and show us how it can be done, we would be very pleased to agree to trying it. We are passing Mr Faulkner a copy of these comments. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
