7.E.X. running very satisfactory.
The mileage from start at Derby is 4,505.

Average petrol consumption down here is 12.5 M.P.G.
Slightly lower that is, from the run down it being then, 13.2. owing to running conditions & warming up. etc.
Oil consumption has increased to 2,396. MPG

The question of tyres is rather serious.
I have worn the treads flat on the two rear tyres, and only one of them is any good for a spare the other having burst. So have changed my 2 new spares.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} talks definitely of travelling back by road and suggested my writing you for two new tyres with tubes, to be brought out. as we shall be badly off by the time we start for home.

Yours faithfully
F.{Mr Friese} Dodd
