CAR WORK - CARBURETTERS.

These will be needed for J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. and Peregrine; if you have not already done something one thinks that the semi-expander should be scaled down with corrections for both these engines.

With a little work from yourself and Mr. Lovesey this might be handed on to Mr. Bailey's dept. We spent so much time upon this subject that all the details should be sound and reliable.

You will see another suggestion for a simpler suction chamber has been sent by me, but it is possible that all this idea is not applicable, but one would like the suction brought in in the way suggested, either from under the throttle or the venturi. It may still need the annular space under the piston, and the 3rd. close fitting band, which however can be very free. My idea is that we do not at full speed wish for any throttling of the air in the valve chamber, but only round the venturi tube.
