✓632 RE "SPECIMEN OF LATEST WORK." J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} for R.{Sir Henry Royce} 13.5.14. WDL/G13514. In reply to a sheet from Mr. DeLooze received to-day, I attach herewith a print H.9370 of a Jig just completed for our new Connecting Rods. A new jig was necessary for these rods and since the rod stampings vary considerably, especially in length, we have made the jig self- centring and adjustable in all essential direc- tions. There is more work in it than in the old one, but it saves marking out each rod. A setting gauge is provided for facing the bosses central.
