To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to C. X3730 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/M9. 9. 24. 20 HP. LANDAULET - GF.68 X. 3730 X. 4219. We understand that Sales are sending you the Barker Landaulet - GF.68 - in the course of a day or so. The only complaint made about the car is that it has a peculiar slow motion sway which has been attributed to the suspension of the body, but we are inclined to think that it may be due to the springing or setting of the shock absorbers which is peculiar to this chassis. We understand that you propose testing the body as at present mounted, and then testing it mounted rigidly to the chassis, similar to present productions. We think that there may be at the moment too much relative motion between the dashboard and the scuttle, and suggest that you fit two of the Goshawk rubber washered shperical headed bolts such as we are doing in London. We would be glad to receive your comments, and further suggestions for improvement in future design. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
