X.4646 To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. EFC3/T1.5.24. X.4357 - RE MATERIAL FOR CONTACT BREAKER RUBBING BLOCKS. Mr. Olley has informed us that American fibre known as Bone Grey, the first word referring to the hardness and the second to the colour, is the material they have found best for contact breaker rubbing blocks. At present we are using Continental bakelite with the fibres at right angles to the rubbing surface, which material is reasonably satisfactory. But if we can obtain some of this bone grey, we would like to make a comparison. We are afraid this information is rather scanty, but would like you to write to firms who might be able to supply this bone grey material. MADE AT CROXLEY EFC. | ||
