For the attention of Mr.C.E.Robinson.

Dear Sir,

With reference to the various discussions we have had regarding C.A.V. voltage regulators we beg to say that we have recently received from you one regulator type B2CJ1 for test. We assume that this regulator has a 3 turn series winding as compared with the B2H1 which we understand has a 3½ turn winding.

Our test figures taken as usual on a battery shew this regulator to operate cold as follows :-

Open circuit volts (initial operation independent of external circuit) = 15.5 volts

Subsequent operation on battery = 15.1 to 15.7 volts

Current at 13 volts (initial operation)= 16.4 amperes.

Subsequent operation = 15.8 to 16.3 amperes.

These figures are unfortunately still too high for our requirements as will be seen upon reference to our original specification figures.
