X5782. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/MJ.10.7.31. GXO-46. With reference to PN{Mr Northey}11/WT6.7.31. the trouble with the electrical system on this car is difficult to explain until we have had an opportunity of examining the car. We will report further on this and in addition on the springing when we have tried the car. Concerning the last paragraph, the suggested alteration by replacing the oiling plug on the propeller shaft by an ordinary Enot's lubricator is not possible, because the lubricator would foul the brake equalising shaft immediately above it. This difficulty will disappear in the second half of "T" Series, when the offending cross member and brake equalising shaft are moved to different positions.
