X5783 Cricklewood. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Pgt. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Pgt.1/MJ.27.7.31. CUSTOMER'S COMPLAINT. GX6-46 We understand that you have succeeded in tracing, and rectifying, the cause of the trouble on the above car, so that the car will not now come to Derby for this purpose. As we have been following this case with great interest, and in order to benefit as much as possible from the experience, we should be pleased if you would supply us with details of what was discovered. For instance, we should like to know whether it was an "earth" through the insulation of some part being broken and allowing the bare conductor to make contact with the metal framework, or whether there was a definite break, loose connection etc., in the circuit. Also whether it occurred in the field circuit, and at what point. This information would assist us in reviewing the matter with the idea of preventing a repetition of the trouble.
