VICtoria 4030 171, Victoria Street, London, S.W.1 22nd February 1935. F.{Mr Friese} Grylls Esq., Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., E.X. Department, DERBY. Dear Sir, Mr. F.{Mr Friese} L. Manning of Messrs. Barker & Co. South Audley Street, London, has very kindly given me a letter of introduction to you. He has done so after my outlining to him an invention by means of which the petrol-driven engine can be converted to the use of a heavy oil. Mr. Manning is sure that you would be interested and I should be extremely grateful if you would be good enough to grant me an interview at your convenience. I feel confident that, should you favour me with an interview the proposition will prove to be of interest to you and to our mutual advantage. Thanking you. Yours faithfully, John Williams.
