Dear Sir:

Re Cooling of 40/50
Experimental Report 766 of Nov. 28, 1924.

We wish to acknowledge receipt of this very interesting report, and to submit the following suggestions.

1. Improvements proposed in the report.
(a) A suggestion is made to increase the height of the matrix. May we suggest that if this is done the matrix should be increased downwards.

At the bottom of the radiator an increase of 3 or 4 inches is possible, with improvement in appearance, whereas we feel that the present height of 21-1/4 inches is about as much extension upwards as is desirable. It gives a very good level line from the shoulders of the bonnet along the body sides. A higher radiator top, with D steering, would obstruct the vision of the road to an extent which would make night driving in our city streets extremely dangerous.

Already the vision is not very good for narrow streets with children, or for winter conditions with gutters or obstructions in the snow. The police are becoming very active in regard to accidents, and it is quite possible that cars from which the area of vision does not meet certain standards will be excluded from the road.
