The following is a brief summary of the meeting held this morning :-

(1) SpectreCodename for Phantom III Gearbox.
This is considered to be the most backward feature of the SpectreCodename for Phantom III. The worst features are noisy gears and slack in the gearbox, presumably due to the splines. The trouble should be followed up intensively. Hancock's car should without fail be the test we can do to the gearbox before it goes to France.

(2) SpectreCodename for Phantom III Brakes.
We must find out where the sponge occurs in the SpectreCodename for Phantom III brake system. Martindale should test out shoes and drums to see if the trouble is located at these points.

(3) Clutches.
The clutch engagement is not sufficiently fool-proof. Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} should order up a Borg & Beck type clutch plate. The clutch also squeals on engaging. Production allege that this is minimised by a spring driven centre. If Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} can confirm this he should try a spring driven centre in one of our cars. We should co-operate with Whyman to see that the pedal and engine mounting is the best we know of for absence of interference with clutch operation.

(4) Steering.
21-G-IV is available for doing SpectreCodename for Phantom III steering tests. It will then be fitted with the large bore engine which was going to be allotted to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} In conjunction with the steering job, Whyman will carry out a test to see whether the designed noise insulation scheme is as good as the original one.
