Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr. Salt, Experimental Department.
Replying to yours of the 7th instant in which you request, if possible, the fitting by us of an overflow banjo on top of the float chamber to accommodate a 1/4" outside diameter drain pipe instead of the present 5/16". We regret that the present range of stampings will not do this and if it is essential for you to have this larger size, then we shall have to put through some new and larger stampings.
We rather think that this possible increase in size is not likely to be really necessary, as full bore is practically unheard of on our float chambers, apart from improbable occurrences such as complete failure of the float.
Yours faithfully,
for THE S.U.CARBURETTER CO. LTD.
