THE ROVER COMPANY LTD NEW METEOR WORKS COVENTRY TELEGRAMS: ROVER.COVENTRY. TELEPHONE Nº 88081. YOUR REF. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/ML. OUR REF. MCW/JM.{Mr Morley} 1091 18th. May, 1940. W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Robotham, Many thanks for your letter of the 13th. May, your remarks are noted. I expect the trouble would not have occurred if you had been on the spot. I hope you appreciate why I was rather sore about the whole job, because I had foreseen what might have happened and had tried specifically to guard against it in the wording of my letter to you. I am sorry to hear you have been sick. If there is any chance of your coming this way in the near future, we hope to have the first of our new engines on the road in a few days time, though I have an idea that you are finding it increasingly difficult to pay much attention to motor cars these days, as we are. Yours sincerely, M.C. Wilks | ||
