X1269 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std. 20/JH. 6th October, 1936. Messrs. The Copper & Asbestos Washer Co., 111 & 115, Livery Street, Birmingham, 3. Dear Sirs, We are wanting to incorporate a filter gauge in the pipe line between the radiator and water pump on our cars. We should like to do this in the manner shown on attached sketch, i.e incorporate it in a copper asbestos joint washer. The sizes of gauge given on the drawing were taken from a catalogue of Messrs. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} A.{Mr Adams} Harvey & Co. Ltd., (London.) Will you please let us know whether you could make us washers of this type and if so put in hand six of each type. On receipt of your advice as to the practicability of these washers we will send you our Official Order for them. Yours faithfully, ATT: Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 255.
