G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} BEATON. re. 20.HP. ALL-WEATHER. We thank you for yours of the 18th inst. and the samples of polished wood for the interior of the car which were enclosed. We have wired you this morning to the effect that Mr. Royce would like the car finished in Italian Walnut. We return the samples herewith. Concerning the arrangement of instruments we think these should be arranged according to the standard layout of instruments as shewn on our drawing, of which we believe our Sales Dept. have already supplied you with a copy. Should however there be any extra or different instruments on this car from those shewn as standard, and there is any difficulty in arranging them perhaps you would kindly let us know. Two instrument board lights should be fitted, one as shewn on the instrument board print and another light between the ammeter and the speedometer. We understand that one of our Derby electrical men will come down and wire the car for us. Since the revised luggage carrier will not be ready for fitting for some while we think the best thing to do would be to remove the present luggage carrier and paint the car without it. When we require to fit this revised luggage grid we will either paint it ourselves or get you to do so. With reference to the continental grease gun, we thank you very much for very kindly offering to give us the information.
