Dear Sirs,

In consideration of your paying to us the sum of £1000.0.0. being an amount which Rolls-Royce Limited have agreed to pay to us in respect of a fatal accident to our Son Edward Butler which occurred at or near Amiens in France on the twenty-first day of March 1928 notwithstanding that we have not yet obtained Probate of his Will, we agree to indemnify Rolls-Royce Limited against any claims which may here-after be made upon them arising out of or in respect of the said fatal accident.
