REGENT 3324 (5 Lines) "GOTYRUCO, WESTCENT, LONDON." GOODYEAR The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company (Great Britain) Limited. 162. Shaftesbury Avenue. London. W.C.2. IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE QUOTE 5th September 1921. Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives, Messrs. Rolls Royce, Limited. Nightingale Road. DERBY. Dear Sir, X3926 Referring to your letter of August 30th, I was told that you had been testing some of our Straight Side cord Tyres with the thought in mind of perhaps adopting them as standard at some future date, on Rolls Royce Cars. Your personal experience in conducting this test to date is what I am interested to discuss with you. If you can afford me a bit of time, some time when at London or Derby, (when convenient for me to get there) I will honour the opportunity to discuss this matter with you. We feel that our 33 x 5 Straight Side cord Tyres will be ideal equipment for Rolls Royce Cars. Several users of Rolls Royce Cars who have equipped their cars with our tyres of this size and type, tell us that they have been giving extremely satisfactory results. Very sincerely yours, E.H.Preston Managing Director. THE GOODYEAR TYRE & RUBBER CO.(GT.BRITAIN)LD. ERP/EH.
