X3926 The gap of this rim is a feature about which we have always been concerned, in so far as it allows the water to penetrate, and causes the rims etc. to rust. Our customers have recently complained about this feature, although at the same time there has been no definite complaint of harm caused to the tyres. It is a fact that on several tyres at this point there is a gap between the tyre and the periphery of the rim. McMillan suggests that this disadvantage might be improved by the large gap for the detaching tool being moved higher up as per sketch attached. EP. {G.
