X3465 Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Mr Booth. BY7-P12.12.23. PROPOSED LARGER STEERING WHEEL. A standardisation sheet has been sent round for standardising on the 40/50HP chassis the Dover type of wheel. In putting forward the proposal for standardisation Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, makes it clear that he wishes to standardise the wheel in the condition it has been run on the chassis, that is, the standard 18" Dover Wheel fitted with our special split boss to suit the 40/50 chassis. In regard to the finger grips and section of the rim, our drawing would have to be corrected so as to bring it into line with the sample wheel that Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, has been running. Our drawing at present represents precisely what WW. asked for, but Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, considers that we should bring our drawing into line with the sample wheel to ensure the wheel, after standardisation, being precisely similar to the one that was tested out.
