X. 4333. EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 5/T. 20th July, 1922. The Morgan Crucible Co., Battersea Works, Church Road, London, S.W.11. Dear Sirs, Referring to your letter of the 11th May, ref: ZAHC/CP, from your 'Z' Dept., and further to our answer of May 15th, ref: EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/LG, we have now arrived at the conclusion that the C.M.5 and H.M.6 sample brushes which we have had from you recently to our drawing D.50301 are not really suitable for our purpose, but we are of the opinion that a harder brush, probably of electro-graphitic quality, would be more suitable. We think perhaps your Link E.G.3. You may remember we have already had some of your Link EGO, (query) is this the same as Link EG?, as Link EGO does not appear to be mentioned on your list (?), but unfortunately owing to various circumstances, we have not been able to form a final opinion on these with the small number which we have. We would like you now to recommend us a grade of brush to suit the following particulars:- Output of machine - 180 watts. Voltage - 12 Speed - up to 5000 r.p.m. Commutator dia. - 2.1" useful length - .925" No. of commutator sections - 29. Mica recessed. Contd. | ||
