Contd. -2- EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 5/T. 2 Main Brush Arms 1 Subsidiary Brush Arm 1 Brush per Arm. N.B. The machine is a four-pole single field winding third brush controlled chassis generator. We would like you to say how nearly the grade of brush that you recommend corresponds to the Z grade quality of Messrs. Le Carbone which appears as regards grade to be correct. We are attaching two prints, D.50761 (Main Brush - 2 per machine) and D.50736 (Control Brush - 1 per machine), representing our very latest design (superseding D.50301), to which we should require further sample brushes. Would you kindly note, however, that we should decidedly prefer your fibre spiral insulation to the beaded insulation which is called for on the drawings. On receipt of your recommendation as to grade, we shall instruct our Order Office to place with you an order for a number of these brushes for trial. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
