(4) Front Ventilating Windows - 50 m.p.h. & Upwards.

Test No. 1.

When the rear joints of the front Ventilating windows were covered with adhesive tape, the cure was 100%.

Test No. 2.

The adhesive tape was removed and the rear gap of the ventilator filled in, leaving the frame edges exposed. The result was 75% less wind noise. To obtain this result practically, a felt pad is required behind the rear joint. The remaining 25% of noise was cured by filling the corner up to the leading edge of the frame with plasticene. This could be done in practice by rounding off the corners of the frame work.

With the above deletion of the various points of noise, the body was practically free from wind noise in the front seats. There are no objectionable wind noises from the rear portion of the body.
