Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y3809. Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/AW17/W1.10.25. 21 x 5 WIRE WHEELS FITTED WITH 6" for 21" NEW TRIPLE STUD TYRES. You will recollect that WD{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} undertook to obtain a set of the above wheels by Friday last and arrangements were made for them to be delivered by road to avoid any delay in transit. We understand however, that the wheels were not handed to your Department until Monday last and we were advised by the Stores people that they were not received until Saturday morning. We took with the Dunlop people with regard to the delay and we have been advised that the wheels were delivered to these Works early on Friday morning. We have since been in communication with the Stores and they now confirm that the wheels were delivered on Friday, the 25th ulto. You will therefore, see that the promise which Mr. Whitehead gave to you was fulfilled. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} [Handwritten signature] | ||
