Re: Production Test of Dynamo with 48 Coil Armature.
Phantom II.

We note in Paragraph 3. of the Production Test:- "Any tendency of the control brushes to blacken along their trailing edges should be allowed to continue", also in Paragrapg 4 - "And allow time for any blackening, which the machine will normally have, to take place".

We submit that this blackening is not desirable, and is due to faulty commutation, and for this to appear in the specification, it would indicate that we expect and approve of the blackening. We believe you have experiments in hand to overcome this feature, are they likely to be available at an early date? In the meantime we suggest that the reference to the blackening be deleted.
