Leslie will be returning to Derby this week-end so that he can confirm the results obtained here. Will you please, therefore, instruct Paterson to leave for here next Tuesday. I am proposing in the meantime to proceed direct to the Col-de-la{L. A. Archer} Fosil, a distance of approx. 260 miles to get comparative results with the two radiators on this pass.

Re Tyres.

The set of special Dunlop tyres we brought out on 25-EX are giving very poor results. Both the rear tyres are through to the canvas and finished. One front has been cut through with a flint, the other front, the rubber is splitting open at regular intervals round the bottom of the tread. It appears to be due to the fact that the tread is not moulded but has been cut. The tyres gave off a rather pronounced gear noise when new running over a perfectly smooth road. The skidding qualities I should say were very good. We are obtaining new tyres from Paris.
