Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

We expect to spend three or four days here seeing Eclipse Wrights etc., then go to Detroit via Harrison Radiator at Lockport and Cleveland Graphite.

If we get to Detroit March 1st we shall spend ten days there, then go to Washington for an S.A.E. Aeronautic Meeting on March 11th and do Wright & Langley at the same time.

We then propose to return to Detroit via Pittsburg and spend our time there until we come back.

I don't know whether it is worth my while to spend a week on Aviation work at Washington, I may remain in Detroit and send E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} off alone.

Inskip seems to be doing remarkably well considering he is now playing a lone hand. He deserves any support we can give him. I hope to persuade him to come to England for the Motor Show if not before.

We are all tied in knots getting driving licenses at the moment, so cannot get a move on until these are cleared up. One has to take a driving test.

The P.III is in Florida and to help Inskip we are not bringing it back until the middle of March.

Hope you can push the engine with the silent tappets deleted, should be about ready. The P.III will not have a good oil consumption till we get clear of the hydraulic.

(Sgd) Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

P.S. Am contacting with Royce on landing.
