B.50 GEARBOX.

Humbers have told us their latest wangle to keep gears in mesh. As we get occasional 2nd. speeds coming out on the drive it is possible that distortion in hardening is the cause.

We send you herewith two marked up blue prints. They show bellmoulding positive and negative of the 2nd. speed driven gear and a mating piece driving and over-running on all teeth. Will you please give these Ex numbers and have the 3 necessary pieces made. The bushes for this experiment should have .004 clearance inside and outside and .008 end float.
