To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x500a Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}22/KW.18.8.36. Hancock has cracked the manifold of 22-G-V.{VIENNA} We have asked you to send out another standard manifold, but in addition to this we should like to know whether you could obtain a manifold for us in malleable iron. Hancock's impression is that owing to the increased capacity of the hot spot on the new 20/25, the manifold suffers from expansion more than the old one, and in consequence cracking sets in.
