WORM AXLE (Contd.) (6) X/41 on the dynamometer, but could not yet submit the figures of comparative efficiency between that axle and our standard, but he would do so later. He further reported that the slight noise at present on the over run had increased with running, and that the worm wheel was showing some signs of wear. The Committee agreed that we should urge Chassis 2004 in order to test this worm axle, under heavy road conditions, which it was not possible to do on the chassis to which it was at present fitted.
