re-erected. He had been using the car which this axle had been fitted to for the purpose of testing the Packard axle, and he had considered that the further tests were unimportant when compared with tests concerning bevel gears which were for the purpose of improving our present axle.

Mr. Johnson said "I concur."

The Committee advised Mr. Platford to run further tests with the worm axle immediately, and on the lines suggested in a previous minute.

Mr. Wormald informed the Committee that he was not proceeding with the second worm axle, as he understood one axle of this type was sufficient for the present.

The Committee agreed that at present it was unnecessary to go on with the second worm axle, but that Mr. Bailey should proceed with the designs of the larger worm axle at the first opportunity.

Mr. Johnson said "Copy Lanchester - they have years of experience."
