PHANTOM 11. '0.2' SERIES MATERIAL.

In accordance with the decision made at the Conference, and instructions we have received from WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} we are ordering a further 50 sets of material for R.H. Phantom 11. chassis, to comprise 0.2. series, and we are instructed to include the following modifications :-

(1). Balanced crankshaft to Sch. 1549.

(2). Cylinder Head 5.25 compression ratio, for Continental chassis only. Standard chassis to be 5 to 1 compression.

(3). Camshaft E.82448 longer duration, 114º between cams. Std Camshaft

(4). Spring loaded shackle for the rear end of the front road spring at the steering side. N.Sch 3452 Springs 7600lbs/11"

(5). Lucas horn fitted under front apron.

(6). Starter motor with self-lubricating bearings. West agrees no standardisation sheet
(P.B. bearing and felt pad).

(7). Road wheels with two rows of spokes.

(8). Lake & Elliott cast iron ribbed brake drums for front and rear.

Will you please arrange for standardisation sheets to be issued for the above as soon as possible.

We understand you are not yet in a position to standardise the proposed modifications to the exhaust system in which we introduce chrome iron exhaust manifolds with straight downtake pipes, therefore we are ordering the present standard material in small quantities.

In regard to the synchromesh gearbox, material for this unit is also being ordered in small quantities.
