The good performance generally of this type of magneto since certain faults observable in the machines of this type have been eliminated, also desirability of utilising an all British aero magneto on the R.R. aero engine, and obtaining these from the same makers who supply our chassis magnetos, and are very willing to develop their machines in close touch with ourselves. Experimental Test Report. See our EFC2/AD20.9.29. Run 53 hours in type test. Test stopped owing to engine failure. Run 75 hours in development "F" engines, run 36 hours in "R" engines. As these magnetos have not yet completed a type test A.M. sanction will have to be obtained for them to be used. Weight of old part.
