+304 To Er from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DODD EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/HP.9.1.35. re Coachwork. Enclosed Limousine P.2. 36-EX. Mr Ward is firmly of the opinion, which he says is backed up by experience, that the body of this car would not have collapsed as it did if after the first 500/1000 miles, it had been adjusted on the body mounting to re-instate the correct door adjustments, after the frame and body had settled, and the springs on the chassis had taken their set. All customers are asked to return their cars for this purpose. We suggest that in future we ought to try to do this, either ourselves, or if possible by letting the car go to Willesden for a day. The Bentley 5-B-IV we suggest could be returned to Willesden, but we may have to do 30-EX. Continental Touring Saloon SpectreCodename for Phantom III 32-EX. The full size drawing is in a much more completed state. We have made several detail changes. (1) We would like the filler cap on the petrol tank turned round with the hinge forward and the catch at the rear of the chassis. This scheme will suit both the Enclosed Limousine 31-EX and the Continental Touring Saloon 32-EX. ? (2) Shall we put a wireless set in this body? On P.2. with this type of body the speaker and set usually go under the Phillips scuttle, with the controls on the instrument board. On SpectreCodename for Phantom III, with the double dash, this will not be so easy to do. seperate speaker If you agree we could try the American scheme on this car, i.e. The speaker above the luggage and behind the rear squab, and the set under the floor, with the controls on the instrument board, or in the rear arm rest. set already bought. | ||
