To C. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X8600 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG7.10.27. RE. REAR SPARE WHEEL CARRIER FOR PHANTOM. X8400 Our tests so far shew that it is necessary to have the additional support on the luggage grid cross bar to carry the spare wheel satisfactorily. This means that xx the rear spare wheel carrier and the luggage go together. You will see by RL/M6.10.27 that R.{Sir Henry Royce} suggests the spare wheel carrier and luggage grid should be included in the chassis price or it should be a standard extra. We are very anxious to get the rear spare wheel carrier adopted and therefore would like Sales agreement of this policy. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
