| x219 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}23/KW.27.4.36. Bentley (High Power). Will you please instruct 2 complete induction manifolds to Ex.20937/8, incorporating the modification Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}118. These to be assembled with the restriction washers Ex.20969 which has a .750" dia. balance hole. The modification consists of an increase in the length of the buffer ends and the thickening of the branch pipe sections. The latter has been carried out so that if we find any value by increasing the branch pipe bore from 1.500 to 1.625 dia. we can still machine out to the latter dimension and yet preserve a reasonable section of pipe. This is an urgent job as per the cylinder heads in the memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}16/KW.20.4.36. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/L.H.Swindall. | ||
