GIRLING REAR BRAKES - BENTLEY II.A.

It is hoped to introduce the above scheme on B.II. shortly as it saves about £10 per chassis, and the brakes seem rather more satisfactory than our present ones. There are one or two small points that want modifying, as the front brakes (standard R.R. design) are giving trouble.

Will you please produce 2 of each of the following levers as soon as possible.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}496. This is an idler lever having no load in the shank and should be an alum. bronze casting.

GB.3009. This will have to be mild steel, produced in the same way as the one on 6.B.IV. now.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}497 This can be produced from the same forging as G.54155, on Production.

Ry. has instructed another set of Girling Brakes for a Bentley II, but with iron drums and iron shoes. This set should be built on 3.B.IV.

The levers we are now requesting should be handed to the writer and will be used, as necessary on 6.B.IV. and 3.B.IV.
