| Copy for Files. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} 10" CLUTCH. B & B in their letter herewith frankly admit they had overlooked the effect of the working length of the spring being less than the nominal. We pointed out to them the increase of thrust due to the higher rate of the black spring, which increases the thrust more than would be accounted for by the nominal poundage of the spring. It was our test rig which revealed the discrepancy and this resulted in our investigation to find the cause. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} | ||
