R.{Sir Henry Royce} Chandler. Dear Sirs, Re:- Bentley - 10.A3. Clutch. We have to thank you for your letter of the 29th. ultimo and have duly noted your remarks in regard to the thrust springs as fitted to the 10.A3 clutch, specification BB.242.B. In deciding on the change in thrust spring pressure following the Conference at Derby in October last year, the fact that spring cups were used in the case of the Bentley Application was probably overlooked when deciding on the assembled height of the thrust spring and would serve to aggravate the criticism which you now put forward. However, we agree that a change in thrust spring pressure is desirable and are agreeable to make the change from all black to six black and three green, and this we are arranging to do on a "Free of Charge" basis on the quantity of cover assemblies which you are returning for this purpose. We much regret any inconvenience which this change may have caused. We are, Yours faithfully, BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} T. Barker.
