RE CLUTCH OIL RETAINING RING - 40/50 H.P. CHASSIS.
N. SCHEME 144.

We return herewith blue print of N scheme 144 shewing the oil retaining lip on the clutch cone. This feature should be made more simple and robust, as indicated by the pencil line sketched by Mr. Royce on the blue print.
You will notice that there is no undercut at the finish of the cone, but merely a plain piece of cylindrical bore, and that the other features of the oil retaining lip are either square or cylindrical, all cone shapes being eliminated.
Would you kindly instruct the necessary models for test and inspection.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
