A.{Mr Adams} Rowbotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Bill, Thank you for your letter of the 7th. inst. I am afraid the world-renowned efficiency of Messrs. Rolls Royce has not lived up to it's reputation, as the letter was sent to Flint, instead of Burton Point. However, we will let this pass! With regard to the rubber gear-lever handle, Geoffrey says that this will make a black mark upon my trousers. If this should be correct, I assume that you will supply me with a new pair. I shall look forward to receiving the voltage regulator, but I am wondering to which address it has been sent. I hardly think this letter would be a suitable one for you to place before the high officials of Rolls Royce; therefore I will write you a separate one dealing with the question of tyres. The enclosed letter to Bentley Motors expresses a certain amount of truth on my feelings towards the motor car. You might censor it, and if you think it suitable hand it to Bleeney in London. I had a long letter from Jessop the other day, who seemed very pleased with himself - also with the glass which I handed him. Yours ever, Richard. encl. RFS/HC. | ||
