With reference to the change speed levers for 12, 4/4, I find the actuating lever G can go inside the larger tube.

This may enable the actuating tube to be made rather larger in diameter. I do not think, however, it is quite as good as an external fit.

When the pendulum lever and the change speed lever, and what we term the actuating lever, (just before mentioned) lie up close together, they should only occupy a very small amount of space, about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch.

That part of the lever passing through the slot can in this position be vertical.

As I have pointed out before, the change speed lever should be brought in as far as possible.
