To By.. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}8/N.20.1.39. Bentley Pistons EB.3151. Kingsbury have drawn my attention to the cylinder bore wear of engines fitted with the EB.3151 taper pistons ( tight skirt). These pistons have also the higher pressure scraper rings. I am enclosing the figures of one dealt with here. On the records Derby Depot have rebored three: 40.LS mileage 12010 114.LS " 13498 50.LS " 13915 K.{Mr Kilner} 44.LS. mileage 13145. The mileage is very small for rebores. Kingsbury are fitting one of the new cylinder blocks EB.2929 nickel chrome molybdenum alloy to 44.LS. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
