To By.. from GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}27/N.20.12.38. Oil Filter - Bentley. ------------------- There has been three cars in K.{Mr Kilner} lately with a Fisholow Canned Oil Socket Filler fitted in place of our own. It is used in conjunction with Duckham's Adcoidised N.P. oils. The scheme is that sealed tins of approximately one pint are obtained, you take off the filler cap, place the tin inside, give it a push which perforates it, put back the filler cap and it drains out. When more oil is required, the empty tin is withdrawn and another one pressed in. The idea may do away with dirt etc. entering, but from our point of view the bulky filler obstructs the vision of the level indicator. To overcome this for one owner, K.{Mr Kilner} have fitted a small electric bulb in the frame opposite the filler with a push button switch on the corner of the angle of the dash, so that one presses the button momentarily to read the gauge. If you have not seen one of these fillers the sketch will give you an idea of it. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} NP.3 Summer Oil. XX Winter " | ||
