For attention Mr. Martin-Hurst.

Dear Sirs,

Re your letter dated the 15th inst. concerning the difficulty you have in producing bellows F.85395 within the limits given on our drawing.

We are sorry you did not notice this before, as it is against our policy to alter any drawing when once a design is in production. We think you had ample opportunity to find this difficulty when you supplied us with small batches.

So far you have been very lucky in having the end piece altered to a "Hot Brass Pressing". We cannot afford to increase the outside diameter, so in order to help you we should suggest that the size should be 1.500" - .025" dia.

Will you please let us know if this would meet with your approval.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
