Dear Sirs,

Thermostats - E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 80893.

We have examined the figures and graphs which you sent us in connection with the tests which you carried out on the above instruments.

There are certain points which are not quite clear to us.

Would you be good enough to let us know whether a spring was fitted to the thermostat during the tests, and if so, what was the load exeAero Enginerted by the spring with the shutters open and with the shutters closed?

Would you also let us have a rough sketch showing the method in which the test figures were taken?

We will certainly see what we can do to improve the pull at the low end of the temperature scale and the push at the top end, although we should like to understand the method of obtaining your graphs and figures clearly before we make any suggestions.

Yours truly,
THE BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO. LTD.
p.p. W. Martin-Hurst.
