Bentley Rear Axle - Oil on Brakes.

Herewith is N. Sch.4193 on which is shewn some suggestions for preventing oil from the rear axle casing getting on the brakes.

We think that the suggestion shewn at (4), with the adaptation to existing casings shewn at (5), will prove the most effective.

The threading of the seals over the shafts does not present the difficulty that seems to be the case in suggestion shewn at (1).

At (2) we have indicated a modification to the existing oil fling which should make it more positive and seems worth trying.

No (3) we expect should not be tried at the moment.
