To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X300 Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson}10/KW.11.2.35. Rubber Joints in Aluminium Cylinders. We are interested to see how the rubber joints are behaving on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III engine. We are apprehensive that when the car has been in service 5 or 6 years these rubber joints will cause trouble. We have one unit that has been fitted with rubber joints for some time, and that is J-III which is at present in the Aero dump. Will you please make a water test on this unit with hot water before stripping, and then strip the cylinder block and let us have a look at these joints. We do not want to scrap this unit as we are going to keep it for reference purposes. Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
