Thanks for Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ9.1.32. Of course I did
not mean in my previous memo that we should like to have this
car at once, as obviously we could not use it for demonstration
purposes yet. What we had in mind was, that at the time we
are able to demonstrate with and take orders for the type of
chassis which will be coming through during the last 25 in the
second half of "T" series, we could then use 18-G4 as a temporary
Car if you consider it would be a suitable one for that job as
regards chassis and body.

It would, we fear, not be possible to get a
new chassis through and have it finished in time to be demonstrating
with it as early as we should like, and 18-G4 might therefore
usefully fill the gap until we get a new car through. Broadly
speaking, this means we should not require the car until about 15
weeks from now, i.e. about the end of April.
