87960. To Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.12.1.32. 18-G4. CAR. We do not think 18-G4. car would be at all suitable for a Trials car. This car has a big six-seater limousine body heavy type. It will have run three or four 10,000 mile tests in France. The dashboard and scuttle are an odd shape. This body was made for a wide dash but it was never adopted. Altogether we do not think this would make a very satisfactory Trials car. We suggest the most satisfactory way would be to put in hand an advance chassis of the latest type. The other possible alternative is to try and get hold of 20-G4 which is being used by Sir Henry Royce at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence. Although he has said that he is quite willing to release this car, actually we think it suits him so well that he will decide to keep it. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
